Daryl Hall and John Oates first recorded “I Can’t Go For That [ No Can Do ] in 1981 giving them their fourth number-one hit single. In January 1982 after a ten week run at the top of the Hot 100, Olivia Newton-John’s song, “Physical” overtook them. Since then the song has been covered, sampled, re-edited and played on the radio over a million times according to BMI.

Soundcloud is polluted with edits and remixes of classic songs that holds back original music [ and the occasional remix or edit ] from the exposure it deserves. The Virgin Magnetic Material remix delivers some originality and something a bit different that makes it stand above the numerous versions that are available on Soundcloud.

I really like the Virgin Magnetic Material take on “I Can’t Go For That” and I’m sure it will receive some air time if and when it’s released. What do you think?
