Whatever is original, different, risque and worth listening has space in his music selections. Mainly electronic music but open to disco, obscurities, bossanova, easy listening, muzak, plain minimal rhythms and abstract beats, re-edits, psychedelic folk... anything really worth listening that's not so commercial. Silvestre, based in Manchester, England, is not only the puppeteer behind the Sonorama blog, he is also a well-seasoned DJ since '95 and has played in different venues around the world including the Sonar Festival. He is about to start a PhD on the transnational history of Detroit techno and its nuanced relationship with globalization, technology and the music industry, contributing with ideas that are original and worthy to the field of cultural studies.
