Cosmic Disco started out as a trio of friends [ THP, Baggy & Niles ] who shared a common love for all things music. Broadcasting and publishing began in July 2006 from Manchester, England with frequent radio show podcasts, exclusive mixes and label showcases. Over the last 4 years we continued to share music from those DJs, artists and labels. Bands have been pushed and plugged and albums and labels have been propped. Over 1 million people from across the planet have downloaded the music.
In addition to that we staged our own intimate parties around Manchester where we made UK debuts for DJs such as Beppe Loda, DJ Mooner and more.
Cosmic Disco as a collective have held residencies in clubs around Manchester and supported parties such as El Diablos Social club, Cutloose and Aficionado plus helped out at festivals such as FutureSonic and Glastonbury last year providing the sound track to the Guardian music lounge.
In between December 2009 and May 2010 Baggy and Niles the frontmen for the Makin Music monthly podcast migrated from Cosmic Disco and set up shop to dedicate a website to the radio show.
In June 2010 Cosmic Disco ship shaped and freshened up. A much needed overhaul was executed and new features such as Soundcloud and Facebook integration were introduced to increase the exposure of the content shared on blog.
Cosmic Disco has already seen the viral and social benefit with many artists and DJs receiving more feedback and exposure about their mixes, tracks and labels.
As of June 16th 2010 mid way through the month the website has already seen bumper record visitor traffic levels. In addition to that new records have been set for the number of times a mix has been downloaded.
Cosmic Disco is business as usual and will continue to provide you with the freshest hot music and words from around our beautiful planet.
As well as keeping the musical cogs greased for Cosmic Disco I co-run my own party in Manchester at the Roadhouse. It happens every 3rd Friday of the month and we’ve had a wide range of guests play for us over the last 18 months from Theo Parrish to Mark 7. You can find out more about the party at
