Detachments – ‘Circles’ Remixes

Thisisnotanexit is proving to be a very prolific label this year. Great releases and great remixes…

Detachments‘ ‘Circles’ has gotten the remix treatment this time: part one is for the balearic heads with the Beg to Differ the One that will get top spin. The ‘Night Plane’ remix is pretty upbeat with great synth and guitar arrangement. And the surprise is legend Andrew Weatherall remix of HAL, a stripped down leftfield disco number with an infectious bassline.

Part two of ‘Circles’ is more four on the floor. With King of Town looping the vocals and dropping some acid on top of the tribal(ish) percussion. This one will rock discerning dancefloors. The ‘Martyn’s Round & Round mix bares things to the minimum, concentrating on the guitar and vocals mainly but still driving enough to be played out.

My personal fave is the Mighty Mouse mix. This one is more house with great synths and effects all over reminiscent of some manga anime kind of track. Original and a belter on a Saturday night.

Part one is already up for grabs in some independent record shops and Juno. Part two is out on the 16th of November. Go grab them now…
