Needing no introduction to regular Cosmic Disco readers we have the ever (And very highly) consistent The Cosmic Truth as they bring Mancunian leg-end Balearic Mike to the big smoke on Saturday 28th March, bringing a little sunshine into Londoners lives.
The Cosmic Truth have worked hard to gain a reputation for organising some of London’s most inventive parties in such unique locations as Hoxton library, east-end boozers, basement spaces and sleazy strip joints (Now that we like…) previously hosting the likes of Richard Sen, The Invisibles, Quiet Village, Greg Wilson and Steve Kotey.
In Balearic Mike they have one of the true unsung hero’s of the U.K DJ fraternity. Mike worked at Manchester’s famous Vinyl Exchange Records for over a decade (Where he snaffled all the best music for himself!) and has most recently blessed us with a selection of rare Balearic gems on Mudd’s Claremont 56 label with the opening compilation in the ‘Originals’ series alonside his fellow Mancunian co-hort Richard ‘Moonboots’ Bithell.
Mike has been one of our favourite DJ’s for years (His ‘Live at Emergency’ mix sent Niles & Baggy on a journey through time & space – Literally!) and for those who have yet to witness his talents you can be assured to hear some of his ‘Rare as hens teeth’ cosmic disco, balearic oddities and ecstasy house.
Held at a secret Dalston location this is a FREE PARTY!!! so there really are no excuses why you should’nt be there. To get yourself on the door simply visit the Facebook event page and sign up to attend. Be quick though as it’s almost at capacity…
