Another week another weekend. How was yours? Mine was tip top. Thoroughly enjoyed playing records in Common on Saturday. They also served up probably the best hummus in town. Seriously go try it. I recorded around an hour which I’ll share on the website over the coming weeks. We’ve got loads of mixes to go up so keep checking back or get the RSS feed and never miss another mix again.

Niles and Simon are away this weekend at the Big Chill so I get to play records on my own again. This Saturday see’s the next installment of the Magnificent Dance parties held at the Salutation Pub in Manchester. I also believe it’s serving as a goodbye party for Danny Mac. Plus there’s a BBQ. My kind of party.

Food and music commence from 4pm and will continue till around 1am. I’m playing around 9.45pm till 11pm. These gigs always mean I have to pack records as it maximum hassle trying to set up Serato in the middle of a helter skelter style DJ line up. Plus I’ll probably have hit the pop by that time and not be in the sharpest of states. Though that’s a good thing as I’ll take out stuff that doesn’t get the air time that it deserves.

All proceeds on the day will go to charity, and this time it is the turn of Christie’s Cancer Centre in Manchester.
