Grand Theft Auto IV - Soundtrack
After myself and THP had ‘accidentally’ shot each other for the 50th time on the new Grand Theft Auto online Multiplayer I jumped in a vehicle and turned on the radio to hear Juliette Lewis playing Cosmic Disco friends and favourites, David Gilmour Girls’, remix of her band’s track ‘Inside the Cage’.
Massive praise to the lads for getting on the soundtrack of what is sure to be one of the biggest selling games of all time (or biggest selling anything for that matter).
Other highlights on the various in game radio stations are Francois K’s ‘Electro-Choc’ station (think Justice, Sebastian, Boyz Noize, Kavinsky, Nitzer Ebb, Black Devil Disco Club, Padded Cell etc), Karl Lagerfeld’s disco station (throwing THP out of a tail-less helicopter to the strains of the Skatt Bros - Walk The Night being a particular high point) and a cosmic ambient station called ‘the journey’ filled with Tangerine Dream, Jean-Michel Jarre and Philip Glass tracks.
Reports that Baggy and Niles turned down an ingame version of the Makin’ Music podcast are being vehemently denied… ![]()

The soundtrack in all the GTA games have been spot on. The GTA 3 soundtrack was sublime. From what i’ve read it seems they’ve done the business on this one too. Can’t wait to play it!

Picked up a date, switched on to the ‘Journey’ station and no other than Michael Schrieve - Transfer Station Blue came on!
Rumour has it that Tim Sweeney is the consultant for Rockstar.
Anyone confirm?
Ace soundtrack as always, outstanding stuff!

The Journey is pure class. Busting through the night street to Phillip Glass is a moment to treasure …

Hehe, thanks for the praise Niles. Sharing soundtrack credits with Jean Michel Jarre, Ghostface AND the Cro Mags is definately a dream come true…
PS I’m not too sure if Tim Sweeney is still working for Rockstar, he definately wasn’t the one who got in touch with us about doing the mix…
