Space Race Volume 8
228 exoplanets are known around nearby stars.
The majority of these bodies are massive Jupiter like planets beyond our solar system. The first confirmed detection of such an exoplanet’s existance was only recently in the 1990’s but since 2000 more than 15 additional planets are being discovered each year.
It’s now estimated that 10% of sun like stars have planets (The true proportion may be much higher) which further raises the question if such planets could hold extraterrestrial life-forms.
Gliese 581d (3rd planet of the red dwarf star Gliese 581) is approx 20 light years from Earth and appears to be the best example of a possible terrestrial exoplanet which orbits the ‘Habitable Zone‘ of space that surrounds it’s star. The greenhouse effect on this planet may raise the temperature to that which could support liquid water.

Over half those are regular plays at these hallowed towers Simon.
Superb playlist.
Although I think the Metal Beat era of John Foxx aint his best (that was The Garden) it was his most experimental.

Good stuff.
Always check ebay.com as the weak $ can often mean it’s cheaper to ship from the US than from ebay.co.uk
Happy to hear you found it.
Have a nice Easter yourself…

A Blue Nile record, superb.
I’ve got the Tinseltown in the Rain 12″ which has an instrumental of Heatwave, very Eno-esque at the start
Fantastic band, going to see them in July
