Chips with Everything present Ebony Bones LIVE

The infamous Chips With Everything returns on Friday 29th February at Grosvenor Street’s Deaf Institute, having been in hiding in London for the past year following the nosedive of some of Manchester’s best venues.
This month Chips is proud to welcome Ebony Bones, who’ll be playing her first ever Manchester show, complete with a full band.
A self-taught musician, Ebony put up tracks on a blank Myspace page and let her songs do the work. Her debut single, We Know All About You, has a sound she describes as “DIY – stripped down, raw, abrasive.”
The electricity, shock and awe generated by her MySpace tracks got the web in a spin, and word spread like wild fire. Basement Jaxx took notice, Timbaland sat up in his seat, Jarvis Cocker was “blown away” to meet her, and Richard X and Future Cut couldn’t wait to get in the studio with her. Expect big things from her in 2008.
As for the venue – what can we say? Thanks to Trof’s recent handiwork and decorating skills, The Deaf Institute has been transformed into a fantastic venue, with three floors comprising of a basement bar, ground floor café-by-day and bar-by-night, and a great sun/dirty-smokers’ terrace. We’re looking forward to this newest perfect match of music and venue becoming a regular thing.
Keep them peeled for more Chips happening next month.
