Zillo: I have been listening to electronic music for about four years now and DJing for around three. I am really into the disco sound, in particular Italo.

The music I play is heavily influenced by the disco sound; it’s all about music that has a good melody because it feels more personal, rather than hearing 8 minutes of some looped minimal beats. That’s not to say I don’t like the minimal sound around at the moment, I just think there’s so much rubbish out there that its over-saturated.

I’m involved in running a night called Micron with some of my friends. We’ve had a great year and it’s definitely been fun. We don’t really have any musical preference at Micron apart from it being electronic most of the time - so if it’s good, we’ll play it. I’ve recently been experiementing in the producing music game with my friend; it’s been really interesting actually - putting our ideas to paper.

I guess you could say that the music we’re making is similar to the Clone/Creme sound.

The mix I’ve put together is a compilation of tracks that I like playing out and listening to on my iPod. I hope you like it.
