Niles & Baggy LIVE at The Cornerhouse Pt.1
As promised we replace the next 2 weeks ‘Makin Music’ shows with a live recording taken from Niles and Baggy’s guest DJ slot at Manchester’s Cornerhouse Bar. (Saturday 22nd September 2007)
This 3hr set features something for everybody, starting off on a mellow Balearock vibe, taking things up with some Latin and Jazz Funk, effortlessly going into Disco, Boogie and Italo then ending the night with some requested Cosmic, Classic Rock and finally ‘End of The Night’ Soul.
As the guys were too busy consuming alcoholic beverages and eating not one but two main courses (With side orders!) a track list is not available but feel free to I.D any records you may recognize.
Available below is part 1 which was recorded between 8pm - 9.30pm.
Part 2 (9.30pm-11pm) will be available at the same time next week so don’t forget to hit us up for more live action from your gruesome twosome.

Digging your selections guys. What’s the track after Waterfalls by Jimi Hendrix. I need to trace this track down!! Who are that band? A cool track that should have surely graced a Gene Wilder and Richard Prior film! :o) Could be another rock family tree exploration for me!

Hi Kev.
The track before ‘Waterfalls’ is Barbara & Ernie - Play With Fire from the album ‘Prelude to…’. A great album from 1971 produced by Eumir Deodato with percusssion from Ralph Macdonald.
The track before dark star is ‘A Mountain Of One - Brown Piano [Studio Remake]‘ and is a 12″ from last year.
Happy digging…

Cheers lads. I think that Lannie Mcmillian track is a thing of beauty. It has a lazy 70s sound close to a lot of yacht rock yet keeping that background music vibe you hear on the Car Wash score.
And now you’ve said it, you can hear those familiar Mountain of One chimes!
Sounds like Zazu ripped off the beginning of Dark Star for their epic Captain Starlight!
What’s that cheeky little number in between Manual Dexterity and Brown Piano?
Love this mix fellas. Live and off the cuff. Always achieves the best vibe! :o)
