AMO1 LIVE! - Manchester - 5th October

AMO1 LIVE in Manchester 5th October!!!

Our good friends at Best Foot Forward have once again pulled off an amazing coup by working alongside Tropical Hotdog and Baltika they’ve managed to bring no other than future Balearic legends - A Mountain Of One to Manchester for what is promising to be one of THE live performances of the year.

This gig is already causing a bit of a stir here as the venue is the imaginative Sacred Trinity Church, located just outside the city centre, off Chapel Street and Blackfriars Road. The combination of statuesque music and atmospheric surroundings is set to provide a one off live experience not to be missed.

Not only can you witness AMO1 but Mancunian Pysch-Folk artist Voice of The Seven Woods will also be performing live with visual artists who have created event specific psychedelic visualizations taken from Avant-garde movies in addition to ‘Musical Interludes’ provided by Danny Webb (Friends of Music) and Richard Norris (Beyond The Wizards Sleeve)

Best of all the gig is FREE! You’ll have to be quick though as it’s a 1st come, 1st served affair so to get your hands on tickets you will have to send an RSVP to: events@bestfootforward.info - TICKETS LIMITED TO 150 - BE QUICK!!

If this wasn’t enough the guys will be hosting an after-gig shindig from the basement of Cord Bar, located on Dorsey Street (Just off Tib Street) in Manchester’s ‘Trendy’ Northern Quarter. ;) where no other than the likes of Studio, Mo Morris (AMO1) and Kev Maguire (Best Foot Forward) will keep festivities rolling until 4am in the morning.

BFF recently brought AMO1 to DJ at their highly acclaimed weekly ho-down where they played one of the best sets we’ve had the pleasure of hearing. It’s safe to say that we are huge fans of AMO1 and upon hearing EP1 last year we greedily snapped up EP2 as soon as it hit the stores earlier in 2007.

The recently released 12″ ‘Brown Piano’ features an amazing Studio ‘Remake’ which is getting heavy rotation at Cosmic Disco HQ so if you are not familiar with AMO1’s output we highly recommend getting your hands on copies of their EP’s/12″s as soon as you can. Take our word for it, go out and pick them up as soon as you can!

You can also get your mits on the upcoming CD - ‘Collected Works’ upon it’s release in all good record stores from 24th September.

Basically this gig is essential, see you there.

x
