Show 56: Makin Music

Posted on 11. Sep, 2007 by baggy in Radio Show Podcasts

We keep things strictly on the ‘Down-Low’ this week with some cushdy Downbeat, Dub, Electronica and World music.

Niles gives some interesting insight into his forthcoming Epcot (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) mix whilst Baggy mounts a challenge for the title of ‘Chill-Rock’ supremo.

THP was unfortunately unable to jettison himself to the studio this week as he was otherwise engaged making sure the worldwide release of Web 3.0 was on schedule.

We even remembered to bring our show agenda and feature the latest music news and manage to squeeze in an events section (Albeit brief…) so expect a competent mix of music and light hearted banter.

Kenneth Bager’s ‘Personal Assistant’ has been in touch with Cosmic HQ to confirm the mix and interview is on it’s way which prompts Niles to make an ‘On-Air’ apology to Luke Soloman who is chomping at the bit for us (i.e. Niles) to upload his mix and interview.

It’s coming very soon Luke, promise!

Until next week…

Show 56 with Niles & Baggy

THP, Niles and Baggy highly recommend purchasing the above tracks from reputable retailers such as Piccadilly Records, Juno, Phonica or even try used items from Discogs and T’Bay

Ah, Metal Beat. Brings back memeories…

John Foxx’s best solo work was The Garden imo. Truely great album.

Nothing can ever beat the first three Ultravox! albums tho. I remember as each one came out, thinking “how can this band get better”, but they did. Amazing production too. Some of the giants of electronic music produced those albums.

I have never seen them on cd, and you rarely see them in second hand stores, I literally treasure my copies.

Difficult to say which is my favourite, they are all so different.

The live 7″ inch EP is worth tracking down, showing the band in an raw, live punk setting.

John Foxx comes from a few houses down the road from where I live in Chorley.

    Truely cosmic music

    Yes mate, all is good.

Have enjoyed a summer away from the internet and clubs. We have enjoyed the fresh air and countryside and have been to quite a few small festivals.

Have heard some truely amazing music which has really inspired me.
