Show 50: Makin Music feat. Yer Mam!
Posted on 24. Jul, 2007 by baggy in Radio Show Podcasts
This week we were graced with the prescence of very special guest James Morton from the excellent Yer Mam! blog.
Luckily for us James is a patient man as once again the studio set up left alot to be desired so please don’t be put off by our ramblings as only one microphone was coming through the live stream (It’s recorded all 3 mics for the podcast). Our apologies go out to James’s mum and Sister who were listening avidly only to text us to ask why Baggy was talking to a mute for the entirery of the show. Hello James mum!
James kindly gives us an insight into his website and musings as well as selecting some fantastic music for you all to hear and after weeks of giving out his personal number live on air Baggy finally recieved a caller to the studio (Prompting some speaker call-in action!) only for it to be the promoter of an upcoming Akon gig here in Manchester. What possible use Baggy is to a Hip Hop promoter is a mystery to us all.
Technicalities aside Cosmic Disco would like to thank James for taking time out of his busy schedule to journey to the deepest, darkest parts of Ancoats on a rainy Monday evening to join us in the ‘Makin Music’ studio’s.
Hopefully we can get James back on the show when we move our broadcasts on to our own server where we will soon be streaming live and direct from this very page. Keep posted!

Doesn’t sound too bad considering. Thanks for having me.
And I have got that Chas Jankel track. It was on Bumrocks a bit ago. Need the vinyl though.

Was that the B Side of Bogaz – I’ve got Love, as i’m sure there is a version with lyrics other than the chorus line. If so any chance of hearing the A side. cheers.

Yep, that was the instrumental of Bogaz. (Which i much prefer)
Vocal version is the A-Side.
A very rare (And can be quite expensive) boogie 12″.
Check this website where it’s listed with loads of other excellent 80’s funk and boogie:

If you email me on simon@cosmicdisco.co.uk i’m sure i can sort you out an MP3.
