I am not really up on my techno, but but what I do know is that I saw CC 3 times in 9 months and he was literally outstanding ever time.
His set at SP May 06 in the B-Bar as the sun was coming up and streaming thru the windows after a very long SP Saturday was inspirational.

KILL ME DJ! Says:
I’m not sure what CC is “Actually” Using but I use Serato at the same time as Ableton and this set up works for me.
Equipment:
Serato
Ableton 7
MPD24 midi controller
Sound Byte Micro
1×1 midi interface
Technique:
I will assume that you all know what this stuff does so I’ll get straight to the way i us it.
I have Serato and Ableton open at the same time. I have Ableton’s sound coming out of the head phone output going to a channel on the mixer, and I have Serato going to it’s own box.
While the track is playing from Serato you can “Apple Tab” to get from the Ableton screen or the Serato screen or if you are on Leopard set up a quick key, but same deal really.
The key to this all staying in time is the Sound Byte Micro.
If this is set up properly with Ableton it will be sending midi sync which will roughly correspond with the tempo of the track you are playing. Now the great thing about the Sound Byte is it has a nudge function and once you get the hang of it, it’s totally amazing.
Then just trigger your prearranged loops, accas etc with the midi controller and you’re away.
Hope this helped.
All the best
