2 Hens, 18 Chicks & 2 Cocks…

Stripping Lenzbienz. On Paper Sounds good, in reality quite ill.

Cosmic Disco were invited to play a chilled afternoon slot at the Niteshift 2nd birthday, held at Pure Space in Manchester, between the hours of 5pm - 6.30pm on Saturday 28th April 2007.

Other Dj’s on the day included Greg Wilson and Mancunian legends Moonboots and Balearic Mike.

Due to THP’s club residency commitments he was unfortunately unable to make it down to the event which gave Niles & Baggy an opportunity to take their much heralded, but rarely tested, radio ‘one-on-one-off’ style out on the road.

Plenty of slo-mo Balearica, Reggae and the odd Soul jam warming things up nicely for the following jocks…

I really enjoyed the mix. It was a quality day and it was nice to play on such a great set up. I liked the range of music you played.

You gotta check Stevie Winwood’s album of a couple of years ago, the initial copies had a live album with it and there is a wicked version of Mr Fantasy on, which eclipses the Family origional. The album is called “About Time”.Worth getting for the live stuff alone.

Life Is Just A Ballgame 12″ is virtually my themetune and I play it in all kinds of sets, and it always goes down well.

My favourite I-Level tune was “Work For Love”. I got that on a nice 12″. Must dig that out sometime.

War IMO, never bettered their first few albums. Amazing live band too, Check out the “War Live” album, where they stretch the tunes out to 20 mins+ jams.
