Cosmic Music DOES exist. I’ve been listening to it for a long time
and it’s alot more diverse then the “afro” .

For some really good rocking country blues and soul rock, get the first two albums. They are superb.

Whilst you are on that tip, get a decent Dr Hook compilation too. I kid you not.

You will never hear song writing like it. Brilliant stuff.

Speaking as someone who was out clubbing twice a week in Sheffield and other cities in 1984, I was 20, I can honestly say that it would have been very difficult to actually hear this music anywhere in the North of England certainly.

My main place was the Leadmill, and although you could hear some electronic music, it was all very guitar and band based.

I went to the Hacienda in this period as well. I would say it would have been virtually all bands and indie/alternative stuff then there too.

We used to go to a tiny little night in nSheffield called The Rat Trap, the dj would have played a small amount of electronic stuff , maybe the Cabs if you were lucky.

So, to do this mix in 1984, shows how forward thinking Loda must have been then.

The mixing style too, is something you certainly would never have heard in a club either.

I think one of the tracks is by DAF. Also I think at some stages he is playing two tunes at the same time.

I tried shazzam and it didn’t get one tune.
