Note the word Soap in the title. OK. Now check out the red eyes in the picture. They weren’t like that when I uploaded it. Spooky. After posting up the video from the end of the night I had a good rummage around my hard drive looking for some mixes from Sankeys Soap.

Sevreal cups of tea later, I found a mix from September 2005 that was recorded during one of the resident parties. Djs on the night included myself, Krysko and I think Greg Lord opened up. I could be wrong as my memory is poor. Too much over indulgance in the late 80s? Maybe.

The mix is all about the last 2 hours where I brought the night to a close with the last record being Lucio Battisti - Il Veliero. I’m not sure why that didn’t get recorded? It was all about the party that night and there’s plenty of Sankeys Soap big numbers in the mix.

I’ll compose a track list when I get some more time, there’s stuff like Harvey Mason - Groovin’ You, Dee Dee Bridgewater - Bad for me, TC 1991 - Berry, Stetsasonic - Talkin’ All That Jazz, Moodymann - Shades of Jae, Tata Vega re edit, House, Italo and Techno plus loads more Sankeys Soap favourites.
