Boo Williams is a Chicago house legend, a stunning disco DJ and a great friend of us here at Cosmic Disco so it seemed natural to get him to provide us with an exclusive mix for the site.
Boo was a massive inspiration to Niles & THP in the mid to late 90′s with awesome releases on influential house labels like Cajual, Relief, Defender & others under his many different guises – Willie Snickers, Moonman, Mandrake, Boo Williams – it didn’t matter what name it was, the output was always consistent and of superb quality
He came to Manchester in both 2004 and 2006 to play for Casa Musica and gave us some of the finest music that the night was treated to. Phreek, the Glitter Band and Musique were all tweaked, extended and seamlessly mixed in a way few of us had seen Disco tracks dealt with before.
Those mixes will be available on the site in the future but it’s all about ‘Disco for the Soul’ at the moment with it’s effortless mixing and killer track selection.
Boo remains a huge inspiration to all of us here and we thank him for his music and for this amazing mix.
