Space Race Volume 3

Volume 3 is my latest mix in the Space Race series, compiled in October 2006 from a selection of records i found digging around the North West of England. Some newish tracks here but as usual, mainly old skool bombs!
This one’s on a slo-mo disco, balearic piano house and danceable rock tip.

Mike Bryan Says:
That Eno Byrne album was the first time I had ever heard sampled voices on a record.
Interestingly, I see on the record sleeve, they called it “found voices”.
I was in a massive Eno/Talking Heads/Roxy phase, it was 1980, and I bought up virtually all the back cat by them and all the associated solo albums.
The Catherine Wheel is a good album from that period by Byrne.
27 years later, I am still in the same phase.
Nice to know that time don’t change some things.
